2010 Magic of Mexico
PLACES: 2010 Yucatán State (includes Mérida) Back to Homepage
Yucatán State is resplendent with archaeological sites, natural wonders and eco-adventure opportunities. Its charming capital city of Mérida(one of Mexico's most hospitable and nostalgic colonial cities) combines colonial-era architecture with a rich Indian heritage. The city's graceful colonial buildings, many with gleaming white and pastel exteriors, date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

Mérida also makes an excellent base for exploring the Yucatan's awesome Mayan treasures. The magical sites of Chichén Itzá and Uxmal (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites)are nearby. The state's newly-restored ex-haciendas, its coastal flamingo sanctuaries and peculiar natural wonders all add to the area's mystique.

Each destination is divided into lessons and parts that cover various topics. It will take about 60 minutes to complete this course.
